Snap Puzzle Terms of Service
Effective date: October 30, 2026
Version: 2026-10-30.1
These Terms of Service are a legal agreement between you and Snap Puzzle. By creating an account, signing in, sending a puzzle, receiving a puzzle, posting a story, uploading a photo, searching for friends, using invite links, enabling notifications, or using any account feature, you agree to these Terms and to the Snap Puzzle Privacy Policy.
1. Plain-English summary
Snap Puzzle is a casual photo puzzle game. You can turn photos into scrambled puzzles, solve puzzles from friends, chat with friends, post stories for your friends or for everyone, keep score, and send puzzles back. The important rules are simple: only upload content you have the right to share, do not abuse people, do not upload illegal or harmful content, understand that shared puzzle links can be opened by anyone who gets the link and that a story posted for Everyone can be seen and solved by any Snap Puzzle user, and understand that the app stores and processes data needed to run accounts and sharing.
2. Agreement required before account use
You must agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy before creating or signing into an account. The app may record the policy version, acceptance time, sign-in method, and account ID so Snap Puzzle can prove which terms applied when the account was created or used.
3. Age and legal capacity
Snap Puzzle is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13. New players give their birth month and year before they can sign in. If the answer shows a player under 13, Snap Puzzle on that phone offers only Zen puzzles, with no account, friends, chat, stories or photo sharing. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use Snap Puzzle only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. By creating or signing into an account, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms.
4. What Snap Puzzle does
Snap Puzzle lets users create, scramble, send, receive, solve, and react to photo puzzles. Features may include local puzzle play, photo picking, camera capture, shared links, direct friend delivery, chats with friends (photo puzzles and text messages), stories (photo puzzles posted for 24 hours for your friends or for everyone), profile information, score, achievements, friend search, invite links, account recovery, push notifications, safety tools, moderation, and backend storage.
5. Accounts and sign-in methods
You may sign in with email, Apple, Google, or another method Snap Puzzle enables. You are responsible for keeping your device, email account, Apple account, Google account, and sign-in provider secure. If you lose access to your sign-in method, account recovery may be limited.
6. Account information must be accurate
Do not impersonate another person, use a misleading display name, pretend to be affiliated with someone you are not affiliated with, or create accounts to harass, spam, evade blocks, evade moderation, or bypass safety limits.
7. Your content
Your content includes photos, puzzle images, stories, captions, chat messages, profile names, usernames, avatars, reactions, friend requests, invite links, reports, support messages, and any other information you upload, create, send, or display through Snap Puzzle. You are responsible for your content and for the consequences of sharing it.
8. Rights you must have
Only upload, send, or share content that you own, created yourself, or have permission to use. Do not upload copyrighted photos, private photos, photos of other people, screenshots, artwork, logos, documents, or other material unless you have the right to use and share it in Snap Puzzle.
9. Permission from people in photos
If a photo includes another person, private place, private event, child, license plate, address, document, screen, medical information, financial information, or other sensitive details, you are responsible for having permission to upload and share it. Do not use Snap Puzzle to embarrass, expose, stalk, threaten, sexualize, blackmail, exploit, or harass anyone.
10. License you give Snap Puzzle
You keep ownership of your content. You give Snap Puzzle a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, resize, compress, process, transmit, display, moderate, and delete your content only as needed to operate the app, create puzzles, deliver puzzles, sync accounts, provide support, prevent abuse, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
11. Shared puzzle link warning
If you create a shared puzzle link, anyone who receives or guesses the link may be able to open the puzzle image and related puzzle details. A recipient can forward the link, screenshot the photo, record the screen, save details, or show it to others outside the app. Do not share anything through Snap Puzzle that you would not want another person to see or keep.
Stories: a story is a photo puzzle you post for 24 hours. A story for Friends can be opened by your accepted friends. A story for Everyone is public: any Snap Puzzle user can see it in Trending, solve it, and then see the photo, together with your display name and how many people solved it. Do not post a story for Everyone unless you are comfortable with strangers seeing the photo. After 24 hours a story is no longer shown to other people; it stays in your own profile, with its numbers, until you delete it.
12. Direct friend delivery and chat warning
Direct in-app delivery and chats are meant to be more private than a public link. When both phones have encrypted chat ready, the sender's phone end-to-end encrypts each chat message, puzzle caption, and puzzle photo; only the two people's phones hold the keys needed to open that content. The server still receives account, friendship, delivery, timing, and other routing metadata. If a friend's app does not have encrypted chat yet, for example an older app version, the updated app still sends your chat messages, puzzle captions, and puzzle photos to that friend, without end-to-end encryption: they are protected in transit by HTTPS and stored encrypted, like content from older app versions, and Snap Puzzle's systems can access them. The chat says when it is not end-to-end encrypted, and once the friend's app has encrypted chat, new items to them are end-to-end encrypted. The updated app does not send readable direct content to a friend whose app has encrypted chat, and it waits instead of sending when encryption on your own phone is not ready. Older installed app versions may still use the earlier HTTPS and encrypted-storage protections; their messages and photos are not end-to-end encrypted. The service notes that chats and stories are not end-to-end encrypted when the encrypted chat path is unavailable; stories are never end-to-end encrypted. Snap Puzzle's systems can access story photos and captions to run the feed, automated safety checks, reports, and human review. Recipients may still screenshot, photograph, copy, describe, or forward what they receive. Snap Puzzle is a game with chat and stories, not a confidential messaging, vault, legal evidence, medical, financial, or photo backup service.
13. No illegal or harmful content
Do not upload, create, request, send, promote, or link to illegal content, sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate content, threats, extortion, self-harm encouragement, graphic violence, terrorism, weapons sales, illegal drugs, scams, malware, stolen data, private credentials, or content that violates any applicable law. Stories must be suitable for everyone aged 13 and over: do not post a story with nudity or sexually explicit content, graphic violence, or anything else on this list, whether it is for Friends or for Everyone.
14. No sexual content involving minors
Never upload, create, request, send, or joke about sexual, nude, exploitative, or suggestive content involving anyone under 18. Violations may result in immediate account termination, preservation of evidence, and reports to law enforcement or child safety organizations.
15. No harassment or bullying
Do not use Snap Puzzle to bully, shame, stalk, dox, threaten, intimidate, impersonate, objectify, rate people's bodies, encourage dogpiling, send unwanted repeated puzzles, or continue contacting someone after they block, report, or ask you to stop.
16. No hate or discrimination
Do not use Snap Puzzle to attack, demean, threaten, or exclude people based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, or other protected or vulnerable status.
17. No spam, scraping, or platform abuse
Do not spam invites, scrape profiles, automate signups, create fake engagement, abuse quotas, overload the backend, reverse engineer private APIs, probe for security issues without permission, bypass blocks, evade bans, sell accounts, or interfere with the app.
18. Moderation and enforcement
Snap Puzzle may remove content, take down stories, blur content, disable puzzle links, expire uploads, stop an account from posting stories, restrict sharing, block accounts, suspend accounts, delete accounts, preserve safety records, limit features, or report serious issues if content or behavior appears to violate these Terms, community standards, safety policies, provider rules, app store rules, or law.
19. Reporting and blocking
Snap Puzzle provides in-app controls to report offensive content, block abusive users, and permanently delete an account. Reports may include the reported user, puzzle, caption, a copy of a reported chat message, story ID, image path, timestamps, reporter ID, reason, notes, and moderation status. For an end-to-end encrypted chat item, the app can attach the key for that one reported item so safety staff can review only what you reported; the key does not open the rest of the chat. Blocking prevents future direct puzzle delivery, chat messages, and friend interactions from the blocked user, and hides your stories from each other. Chat messages and story captions containing hate slurs are not delivered.
Stories: you can report a story with the flag on its card or while you are solving it. A reported story is hidden for you right away. It is reviewed by an automated system and taken down automatically if it appears to break these Terms; a person then reviews the takedown and can restore the story or keep it down. Report records for stories include the story, its photo, caption, the reason you chose, and timestamps.
20. Review of content
Snap Puzzle is not required to monitor every puzzle before it is sent. Stories posted for Everyone are checked by an automated system before they are shown publicly, and that check can be wrong in either direction. Other older or non-encrypted content may be reviewed by automated systems, service providers, or humans when needed for reports, abuse prevention, security, support, legal compliance, or app store review. End-to-end encrypted chat content is not readable by Snap Puzzle unless you report that specific item and provide its one-item review key.
21. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from Settings while signed in. The deletion flow removes your authentication account, profile, uploaded puzzle images, stories, friendships, scores, and associated cloud records that Snap Puzzle is not legally required or safety-required to keep. Some records may remain temporarily in provider backups, security logs, legal records, or provider logs.
22. Data deletion is not recall
Deleting your account, a puzzle, or a shared link does not guarantee that recipients deleted screenshots, copies, forwarded links, downloaded files, screen recordings, or memories of what they saw. Share carefully.
23. Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy explains what data Snap Puzzle collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, retention, deletion, permissions, and choices. The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.
24. Push notifications
In supported app versions, notifications for puzzles and reactions are optional. Turn them on in Profile or turn them off there or in your device settings. Notifications do not contain puzzle photos or captions.
25. Scores, streaks, and achievements
Puzzle Score, solve times, streaks, friend status, achievements, delivery status, and reactions are for fun and have no cash value. They may be changed, reset, corrected, removed, or made unavailable because of bugs, cheating, abuse, backend changes, moderation, or account deletion.
26. No gambling or cash prizes
Snap Puzzle does not currently provide gambling, wagering, paid contests, cash prizes, sweepstakes, or real-money rewards. Do not use the app to organize betting, raffles, illegal contests, or paid prize games.
27. Purchases and subscriptions
Snap Puzzle currently has no paid purchases or subscriptions. If paid features are added later, payment terms, app store rules, taxes, refunds, cancellation rules, and additional disclosures will be shown before purchase.
28. Ads
Snap Puzzle may show ads. Ads are served by Google (Google AdMob) and appear only at pauses, such as before a friend's story opens or after you finish a puzzle, never during a puzzle, in chats, while signing in or on the legal screens. After the first free hint on a puzzle, you can choose to watch a short video ad for another hint; watching is always optional. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences (PG or lower), and players under 13 never see ads. Snap Puzzle does not choose individual ads and is not responsible for what an advertiser offers; to report an ad, use Profile → Report an ad. Ads may be changed, paused or turned off at any time.
29. Third-party services
Snap Puzzle uses third-party services including Apple and Google for sign-in and distribution, Clerk for authentication, Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the API, database, image storage, and logs, Expo for build and distribution services, Google AdMob for ads (when ads are on), and hosting or support providers. Those services may process data under their own terms and privacy notices. Snap Puzzle is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
30. App stores and beta testing
If you install Snap Puzzle through TestFlight, Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app store, that platform's rules also apply. Beta builds may be incomplete, unstable, reset data, disable features, or change without notice.
31. Intellectual property
The Snap Puzzle name, app design, code, icons, branding, and original game elements belong to the app owner or licensors. You may not copy, clone, sell, redistribute, or misuse Snap Puzzle assets except as allowed by law or written permission.
32. Copyright complaints
Snap Puzzle’s designated agent for copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is: Copyright Agent, Snap Puzzle, 1795 S 1500 E, Driggs, ID 83422, United States; phone 208-313-5337; email puzzlesupport@hertzmc.com. A notice must include the information listed under Copyright complaints (DMCA) on the Snap Puzzle support page (https://hertzmc.com/snap-puzzle/support), as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). If we removed something you shared and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice, and we close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyrights. For other rights complaints, contact the app owner with enough information to identify the content, your ownership or authorization, your contact information, and what action you request.
33. Security
Do not test, scan, attack, exploit, or disclose vulnerabilities in a way that harms users or the service. If you find a security issue, report it privately to the app owner.
34. Changes to the app
Snap Puzzle may add, remove, pause, limit, rename, redesign, or change features at any time. The app may be unavailable because of maintenance, backend issues, provider outages, moderation, legal issues, or app store requirements.
35. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as the app changes. If the change is important, Snap Puzzle may ask you to agree again before you sign in or continue using account features. Continuing to use the app after updated Terms are presented means you accept the updated Terms.
36. No warranties
Snap Puzzle is provided as-is and as-available. The app owner does not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available forever, compatible with every device, or that every photo, puzzle, upload, link, notification, account, score, streak, or recovery flow will work perfectly.
37. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Snap Puzzle and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost content, lost data, lost goodwill, device issues, emotional distress, user disputes, or third-party actions arising from the app.
38. Your responsibility to back up content
Snap Puzzle is not a backup service. Keep your own copies of important photos and data. Puzzle images may expire, be removed, fail to upload, or become unavailable.
39. Indemnity
If your content, account, or actions cause claims, losses, damages, investigations, or expenses against Snap Puzzle or its owner, you agree to be responsible for them to the extent allowed by law.
40. Termination
You may stop using Snap Puzzle at any time. Snap Puzzle may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, harm users, break the law, abuse the service, or create legal or security exposure.
41. Contact
